Hi, I’m Ryan Nixon.
I’ve spent the last two decades developing, designing, validating, launching and managing the lifecycle of both commercial and consumer products made from just about every material out there. I’ve built cross-functional teams from the ground up and used tools like Six Sigma, DMAIC, DFMEA, APQP, and PPAP to validate and launch those products, so I can help you do the same.
My expertise is translating customer and stakeholder requirements into scalable technical solutions, and I have experience in securing IP through the patent process.
I really just enjoy building things and setting up the capability to build things better, whether that’s designs, processes, facilities, or teams.

My Approach
While building a startup from the ground up, I found out how beneficial contract help can be for a small organization to stay agile and reduce costs. When we first started, we thought we had to own every key role in development but realized we didn’t always have a full workload for those employees; and it was much harder to quickly scale and make decisions. We were very fortunate to be introduced to some amazing contract individuals and teams that helped us get where we needed to be.
When I started thinking about what I would do next, I realized there were plenty of other small companies that don’t need a full-time employee but do need someone with my experience to get their products into the market. I saw an opportunity to help those companies on fractional basis and solve problems in design for manufacturing, prototyping, pre-production, developing technical relationships with suppliers, and more from my toolbox of skills.

Knowing the real cause of an issue helps create a long term solution to the problem instead of iterating through short term fixes for the symptoms.
